My hack for career growth..

Hey Everyone,

Over the past year, I’ve talked to over 200 founders, professionals, and entrepreneurs and learned that they’ve all faced similar challenges at different stages of their careers. Some of the most common questions and comments that I’ve heard included:

  • I want to make a change in my career. Where do I start?
  • What are the most common pitfalls to avoid in growth marketing?
  • How do you build partnerships with big-name companies in complementary industries?
  • Did you experience setbacks in your career? How did you bounce back?
  • How do you prioritize your marketing backlog and decide what to do first?
  • How do you structure a sales/marketing team when you have zero experience at it?

As a former founder and YCombinator alumni (alongside companies like DoorDash, Airbnb, Dropbox, Reddit, and Stripe), I’ve had my share of ups and downs. I’ve also faced plenty of personal and professional challenges along the way.

Everyone faces challenges like these: what makes people different is how they respond to them.

The good news is that there’s something simple that you can do to get a helping hand, boosting your learning without relying on costly trial and error. I’m talking about finding a mentor. Today, luckily, online mentoring platforms allow entrepreneurs and professionals to connect with specialized advisors online for low fees or even for free.
